Andy and I have been experimenting with cooking the last few weeks. It’s been awesome. Tonight we tried to recreate a favorite meal from our favorite restaurant in Muncie, Domo. We made noodles, scallops, and the special dipping sauce (or its technical name, Domo Sauce). It was sooooo yummy! We’ve been looking up recipes online and just trying different things on our own. We’ve saved a ton of money by not going out to eat very often, and it’s fun doing something together. It’s probably healthier too. We’ve both lost weight (maybe not pounds, but we definitely both look more fit). It’s ben a good bonding experience all around.
Meals we’ve made:
Shrimp Scampi with Linguini
Steak caesar salads with carmelized onions (we’ve done this twice. Andy’s really great at the meat/onions!)
Pasta (less exciting…)
So, it’s been good. Our typical evening routine has been cooking dinner together, then taking Tinker for a long walk in the park, and then coming home and either watching a movie or playing Chime on the Xbox. Chime is my new favorite form of entertainment. It’s like tetris, only a step up and requires more brain power. And it has way better music.
We’re going to continue to cook dinner (since we have to eat every night and all…), and we’re always looking for new recipes. If you’re reading this and have a favorite recipe, please feel free to post it in the comments, and we’ll try it! 🙂
